My poor, poor blog, how neglected you have been. Through so much lately I have forgotten you, not had time for you, abandoned you. Not for long though. Our affair shall be rekindled in no time, as soon as I find some (time that is). My portal to which we communicate has been repaired and I am finally back online. I shall see you soon dear blog.
Love,
Me

Karsyn turns FIIIIIVE!!!
My Karsyn is five tomorrow. I still find myself captivated in her every smile, every tear and every moment. She is truly the most wonderful five year old girl on this planet. She means everything to my heart and my soul. I look over these pictures and just smile at what an amazing little creature she is. Though she is a spitting image of her daddy, she is me through and through. Her attitude is an exact match and a definite clash to mine at times, which is why I often pity Kevin for having to deal with us. I have never met another person with so much compassion, heart and love inside of them as Karsyn does. Karsyn has single handedly gotten me through some of my darkest hours. She has helped me breathe when I felt I could no longer, she has helped me out of bed, when I just couldn't and she has kissed me when I felt I was not worthy. I miss the days in these pictures when she was little and so “baby” precious. But I look at Rio and I’m thankful that she is a spitting image of Karsyn, so I get to relive all these baby days as Rio grows. I love my Karsie-girl! I wish her the very, very best fifth birthday and so many, many more.

Convos with Rio
Morning time usually comes way to early, and this morning was no different. In fact I woke up with the worst headache I've had in a while, and although I was praying for more sleep, Mizz. Rio was not having it. All the same I really enjoy our morning conversations when it's just me and her..... Here are a ton of picutres that I just took on a continuous shoot. She's a little gem when she's well rested.
Karsyn's room...
Karsyn is getting her own room for her birthday.... We let her pick out her own paint. Mistake, possibly... But she loves it, and I'm holding on to the idea of the finished project will be more pleasing to the eye...
Here Come the spots...

Those of you that know me, know the OCD doesn't allow me to free hand things. I wanted stripes that could be measured, twice, and taped off..

First layer of the spots.. AHHHH, I'm seeing spots.

Finished all the "polk-di-dots"... She loves them. Therefore, we love them.

My memories....
For all of you that know where the Maverick gas station is on Shepherd’s Lane in Farmington, just west of Hwy 89, all of that land used to be my Grandparent's. A little house used to sit there, with a farm, horses, random animals and me and my siblings. We spent many, many days there, that is, back when Farmington, was just that, farm land. This past weekend as we were driving by to get on the freeway, I noticed that they had done a fire cut along the side of the road in the over grown weeds, I saw something I had no idea was still there, the front steps to my grandparent's home. Kevin and Karsyn ran into Maverick for drinks and I couldn't get my mind off those steps, if those were still there, what else was there? I had to see, I was compelled to touch those steps, to walk in the yard. So, there I was Karsyn in tow and Kevin left in the car with crying Rio. Stepping through the cut down weeds I told Karsyn of great-grandpa and great-grandma, and how we used to play here all the time. There were many, many popsicles enjoyed on these steps, many trick or treats ended here, Sunday dinners every week. At Karsyn’s age, I had been on these steps hundreds of times already. Little did I know that behind these steps, amongst the weeds, was the house foundation, it was still there. Much smaller than I remember it, but I could close my eyes and see every room in the house. The kitchen with the wallpaper in the cabinets and drawers, the living room with the dark brown carpet and the ribbon candies in the dish on the coffee table, the back room with the organ and grandpa’s custom horse saddle in the corner. As I walked down the dirt driveway to where the RV used to be parked I could remember the fence that we used to shoot grasshoppers off with a bb-gun. I could see the horse grandpa named after my sister Mamie, our little hands feeding her carrots. And for those multi-colored condos that are now in the background, they were nowhere in site, my memories were pure, clean and so close I could touch them. If it weren’t for the errands that had to be taken care of that day. I could have easily sat in that field for hours, just playing in my own mind.
Here are some pictures of Karsyn on the steps I used to play on as a little girl. FYI: The posses are all her. URRGGHHH, girls.

Out of the mouth of Karsyn. . . . .
In having a conversation with Karsyn on the way home from the grocery store, I realized that I have more of a trashy mind than any mother should. I couldn’t help it, she shocked me. I’m going to tell you this story, please do not take much offense in the beginning, hopefully by the end, you will be laughing as hard as I was, literally doing my best to stay on the road. Here it is, enjoy.
She doesn’t beat around the bush, gets right to it:
Karsyn: Mom, that looks just like Daddy’s wiener.
Me: WHHHHHAAAAAAAAT? Turning around to see her pointing to the semi next to us.
Karsyn: You know, Daddy’s wiener, how it sticks straight up.
Me: Karsyn?!?! What are you talking about? (the truck is now farther ahead of me)
Karsyn: You know how Dad’s wiener sticks straight up and wiggles around.
**My voice at this point is high, squeaky, my brain is running in circles, where did she see such a thing, and what is she comparing it to, what was that guy in the truck next to us doing? Why must I be having this conversation. OHHH CRAP!!**
Me: Honey, what are we talking about.
Karsyn: Daddy’s wiener Mom, that’s what we are talking about, it sticks straight up.
Me: Since when do you use the word wiener?
Karsyn: That’s what Daddy calls it.
**Oh he’s dead meat.**
Me: Karsyn, what on earth were you looking at that made you think of Daddy’s “wiener”?
Karsyn: On that blue thing on that huge truck. Look mom, a wiener, like Daddy’s, wiggling all over.
**Racing up to the semi a little before us** **will she please stop referring to it as sticking straight up and wiggley**
As I get to the side of the truck I look up and out of the windshield…. I see it.
Karsyn: Seeeeee Maaaawm, I wiener like Daddy’s.
It’s the Wienersnitchel guy wrapped around the antenna on the semi. Kevin has one on his truck too.
OMG!! I feel like an absolute idiot. She has been talking about the stupid little hotdog that Kevin has on the antenna of his truck……… That officially makes me the dirty birdie.

Strep-like, non-strep fever goooo
Before I post the Easter pictures, Karsyn has been suffering from some sort of high fever plague... It set in Saturday morning, she managed her way though Easter and today, she has spent a lot of time sleeping, moaning and groaning in discomfort. The doctor says it's some random virus going around that only presents with incrediblly high fevers... Helpful. Get better soon my sweetpea..

GO ORANGE!!

Soccer was good this week, and shoot she looks so cute out there kickin that ball around. She made two goals, one for our team and one for the purple team. Whatever, a goal is a goal damnit!! She did recognize some old friends on the purple team so, there was a time during the second half where they were on the side lines hugging and chit chatting. Hi Ellie! All in all it was wonderful. GO ORANGE!!
Take care all,
Me

Cousin Scott
Scott and Dawn come over Spring break a week or so ago. I have a million pictures to post, but these were the ones that really caught my eye and made me smile the most. Scott was such a good sport putting up with Karsyn's antics, she really did love having him here. We hope he wasn't to bugged. We miss them being here so much. It was nice to have an adult person in the house to talk to during the day.
Many Faces of Rio
Miz Rio is getting her personality in full force.... Smiles, giggles and grins are slowly bubbling to the surface. She is transforming from newborn to baby, it is a very welcome change of pace.
